Police are appealing to animal owners to ensure their livestock and pets are properly housed in secured and adequately fenced stables barns and fields, following a number of incidents where animals, and in particular horses, have wandered on to public roads posing a danger to themselves and road users in the Colin Glen Road/Hannahstown area, Dunmurry.
If an animal is found wandering or at the side of a road, the keeper there of could be found guilty of an offence and could be liable to pay a fine.
