Homes evacuated near Cambridge House school

A number of houses have been evacuated in the Cambridge Avenue area of Ballymena tonight.
Reports have linked the evacuation to the discovery of a suspect device in the vicinity of Cambridge House Grammar Achool.
Locals say army technical officers are on the scene.
A police spokesman said: “Police are currently in attendance at a security alert in the Cambridge Avenue area of Ballymena following the discovery of a suspicious object in the area.
“Cambridge Avenue has been closed and a number of homes in the area evacuated.There are no further details at this time.”
