Donation allows community group and cadets to serve up a supply run

Cullybackey Community Partnership (CCP) received a festive donation of produce from Tesco which, with the help of army cadets from Cullybackey and Ballymena detachment, meant it was able to distribute food items around the village in time for New Year’s Day dinner.

Despite the wintry weather the cadets soldiered on and quickly got the job done.

CCP reports having already received messages of appreciation from those who got parcels.

Seen here with Tesco’s Ronny McFall, Elizabeth Steede, who organised the operation on behalf of CPP, said: “I would like to thank Ronny McFall, Tesco Community Champion and Tesco, Ballymena for providing food items.

“A special thank-you goes to Cullybackey and Ballymena Army Cadet Force, who were called in at short notice to distribute the bags.”
