Ballycastle Sinn Féin councillor Cara McShane has encouraged people to respond to the Culture, Arts and Leisure Minsters’ consultation on the Irish Language Act.
Speaking after a number of activists were out in Ballycastle promoting the Acht, Cllr Cara McShane said: “It is important that the Irish Language is given the protection and promotion that it deserves.
“The Acht na Gaeilge will help make this a reality.
“Given the great response we received today whilst out in Ballycastle it is clear that there is an awful lot of goodwill out there for this proposal.”
