A Mid Ulster woman is warning people in the area to be wary of receiving calls from a bogus caller asking for money to stop nuisance telephone calls.
She says she received a call from a ‘withheld’ number on Tuesday claiming to be from BT explaining that they could prevent all nuisance calls on payment of a fee of £85.
“They asked me for my bank details which I refused,” she said, stressing she suspected it was a scam.

She added: “My concern would be that an elderly person could be persuaded into passing on their bank details and losing money.”
