The M1 motorway running between Belfast and mid-Ulster has seen significant delays due to two substantial but unrelated accidents.
In the first, reported at around midday, a lorry collided with the central reservation, blocking the outer lanes in both directions between junctions eight and nine.
In the second, reported at around 2pm, there was a three-vehicle collision just past the junction nine Moira onslip heading in the Belfast direction.
The Roads Service warned: “Expect further delays.”
They said some traffic queues were up to two-and-a-half miles long.
There are no details of any injuries.
