Coleraine Coastguard Rescue Team was called out by Belfast Coastguard to assist the Ambulance Service with the evacuation of an injured tourist at Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge on Wednesday.
At around 12.30pm the Coastguard Team transported a NIAS paramedic across fields to reach the casualty, who had sustained a leg injury after crossing the rope bridge.
After she had been stabilised by the paramedic, the casualty was carried up the steep steps leading to the bridge on a stretcher by the Coastguard Team, before being transported in a Coastguard four-wheel drive response vehicle to a waiting ambulance.
